"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
Psalm 91:2
"Be my rock of refuge
to which I can always go;
give the command to save me,
for you are my rock and my fortress."
Psalm 71:3
"For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in his pavilion:
in the secret of his tabernacle shall He hide me;
He shall set me up upon a rock."
Psalm 27:5
What does a fortress represent?

Safety
Security
Strength

Jehovah Mesuda is all these things for us!
A Mighty Fortress is Our God

A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing,
our helper He amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing.
For still our ancient foe doth seek to work us woe;
his craft and power are great and armed with cruel hate, on earth is not his equal.

Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing,
were not the right man on our side, the man of God's own choosing.
Dost ask who that may be?  Christ Jesus it is He;
Lord Sabaoth, his name, from age to age the same, and He must win the battle.
"My strength is sufficient for thee:
for my strength is made perfect in weakness."
II Corinthians 12:9

Just imagine that the fortress in the picture at the top represents
God's safety, security, and strength for you -
you are perfectly protected always by Him who is your Mighty Fortress!

Maoz Tzur - Hebrew Rock of Ages
Rock of Ages, let our song praise Thy saving power.
Thou amidst the raging foes wast our shelt'ring tower.
Furious, they assailed us, but Thine arm availed us,
And Thy word broke their sword when our own strength failed us.
And Thy word broke their sword when our own strength failed us.

Ma'oz tzur y'shu-a-ti l'ha na-e l'sha-be-ah,
Tikon bet t'filati, v'sham toda n'zabeah.
L'et tahin matbe-ah mi-tzar-ha-m'na-be-ah.

Az egmor b'shir mizmor, hanukat hamizbe-ah.
