"For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words."
I Thessalonians 4:16-18

All those who love the Lord Jesus and the Heavenly Father believe without even a shadow of a doubt that every word of The Word is absolute truth.
By this we know that the return of Jesus Christ in physical form to this earth is certain. No man knows the day or the hour, or for that matter even which century or millenium. God's time is His business. But, believers know with absolute certainty that at some moment in time, this event will occur and those inhabiting planet earth at that moment will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven!
It is written " For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven, shines unto the other part under heaven, so shall also the Son of man be in his day." (Luke 17:24) What an overpowering sight that will be! Incredible to even contemplate or try to imagine!!!
We also know that in that day, that instant when Jesus returns, all things of daily, earthly life will be going on as usual. People will be eating and drinking, marrying, working, buying, selling, being born and dying.
"I tell you in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Two women will grinding together; the one shall be taken and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left." (Luke 17:34-36).

Many believers through the last 2008 years have believed that this would happen in their lifetime even as today in the year 2008, many believers think this event could happen at any time, any day or night, now. The fact is, it could. The truth is there will be a generation who will experience this most powerful of all historical events.
Whole denominations today put their energies and their focus on praying for this promised return of Jesus Christ, praying mightily that He will come speedily.
The question is: Is each and every believer ready? Are we really ready? What will He find when He returns?
Jesus said, "Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven."
(Matthew 7:21)
"When the Son of man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory:
And before Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats;
And He shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
For I was hungry and you gave me meat: I was thirsty, and you gave me drink: I was a stranger, and you took me in:
Naked, and you clothed me: I was sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came unto me.
Then shall the righteous answer Him, saying, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you? or thirsty and give you to drink?
When did we see you a stranger, and take you in? or naked and clothe you?
Or when did we see you sick or in prison and come to you?
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me."
Matthew 25:31-40

What will He find you and me doing
when He returns?????
Will He find us doing the will of His Father
or living for our own selfish interests?
Will He find us feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, taking in the down-and-out friend or stanger?
Or will He find us squandering all He has blessed us with; will He be interrupting our $5000 vacation, so needed, so deserved, with never a thought for anyone but ourselves?
What will we answer when He asks:
"What did you do with what I gave you?
I entrusted you with so much? How did you use it? Did you tend my flock, did you feed my sheep? Not even one of them???
Is it wise to suggest, even pray, that He hurry His return?
Are we ready for His return?
Is His work done that He entrusted to us, actually commanded us to do for Him?
What about the anger burning in your heart toward another?
What about the gnawing resentment and unforgiveness toward another of His sheep?
What about your selfishness?
What about your indifference?
What about the fact that you have no fruit and your life is devoid of works for His kingdom because you just haven't gotten around to it?
What about the fact you rarely have time for Him? Rarely give Him or His sheep a thought?
What about the people you clearly heard Him urge you to help, or witness to about His wonderful gift for them?
What about the fact that He said forget your own selfish life, follow me, I have work for you to do for my kingdom?
What about the fact that He said if the things of the world are more important than Me, then you aren't worthy of eternal life?
What about the fact that He said if you aren't willing to forsake everything for my sake, you cannot be my disciple?
What about the fact that He commanded you to love one another as He loves you, and you are failing miserably, pathetically, wretchedly daily even doing that?
What about the fact that He said if you are embarrassed, ashamed, or deny me on earth, I will deny you before my Father in Heaven?
What about the fact that you treat His commandments like options and suggestions?
What about the fact that He said if you love me you will keep my commandments?
What about His attitude about honoring Him with your mouth and your lips when your heart is far from Him?
What about the fact that He said lay not up for yourself treasure on earth, for where your treasure is there will your heart be also?

Think on these things:
What have you done with what He gave you?
Where is your fruit?
Where are your works?
Where are your treasure and your heart?
When will you be ready?
What if He comes back in a month?
What if you only have a week or a day?
What if He comes back tonight?
The night is far spent, the day is at hand . . .
Knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we first believed . . .
What will the Son of man,
the Lord Jesus Christ find when He returns?
Will He say to you,
"Well done my good and faithful servant."
or
"I have something aganst thee,
Get away from Me; I never knew you."
